Handling Issues
Hi,
I just got my Geely yesterday. Bought it with a 2nd hand car dealer in Ubi. Problem is while driving at slow and fast speed. I really need to control my steering so that it doesn't sway. Does anyone know what may cause this problem? All comments will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Handling Issues
It happens during low speed too. If i were to do wheel alignment, how much does it cost and where would you recommend to get this fixed?
Regarding shock absorbers, how do i check to make sure that it's still in good condition? (i'll probably google it unless Geely are abit different from the rest.

Re: Handling Issues
Hi bro,
Geely cars are no different from any other makes be it jap etc.. its all the same. First thing first to check for absorbers,
1) Use your palm and body weight to push slight down on each corner of the absorber, if it bounced up and down more than once means ur absorber is gone, like wise if u press down and it is very stiff means the absorber is jammed and its due for replacement too,
2) Wheel alignment price range is $40 - $60 normally. You may try to ask Kenny Wheel Alignment (heard from mycarforum that is very popular for wheel alignment), however advance booking is needed. This guy kenny only specialise in doing wheel alignment only and one car usually take quite sometime to do and i heard that after alignment the car is straight. Else if you want u can try other shop which also do alignment.

That's great information. I'll test it out later. You bring it shock absorbers for Geely right? Roughly how much do they cost? Or can i fix an aftermarket absorber?
Thanks for all the possibilities of problems that can cause that. Let me try and troubleshoot one at a time. But, I have one more question, can Geely CK fit 17" rims?

Hi Bro,
Yes i do bring in shock absorbers for geely. In fact sold quite a few already. I dont advise you to go for aftermarket shocks, moreover there is no priduction for aftermarket shock absorbers for geely cars, but if you say jap makes definitely yes. Price for shock absorbers, please email me for quote geelyautoparts@gmail.com.
For 17 inch i seen someone install before, but that will jeopardise your fuel consumption and make it higher and a drinker. So do consider if you really want to do it. 15 inch is good enough or a 16 inch but for 17 inch although it may look nice but FC will be a concern. So choose wisely.
